Thanksgiving is just a week away. Local shops have put up decorations, and sales have already begun. Families throughout Walton and Okaloosa county are dusting off their holiday goodies and preparing for another tiring, memorable holiday season. With Black Friday kicking off earlier than usual, Santa’s arrival is just around the corner- and here at Carter Beach Properties, we’re celebrating a few weeks early by cluing you in on this year’s hot spots to visit Santa Clause.
Santa Claus is coming to Destin Commons on Saturday, November 22nd. At 6:45pm, he arrives with a festive holiday parade down Main Street to the official Christmas tree lighting. There’s even a fireworks display! There will also be live music and kid’s crafts as families are invited to then join Santa at Bass Pro Shops for free photos. If you’re not able to make it out for the arrival celebration, you can find Santa’s schedule at Bass Pro Shop’s official website.
If you’re hoping to spend some quality family time at the Harbor this holiday season, your best bet is to visit Santa at his Emerald Grande location. He arrives on November 28th and will be available to hear about the year’s latest gifts and for photos throughout the month of December. While you’re in the area, check out other holiday events- including Emerald Coast Theater Company’s rendition of a Dicken’s Christmas or Holiday on the Harbor ARTWalk. For more information, visit the area’s schedule here.
On November 29th, Santa will be making a one-night only appearance at the Village of Baytowne Wharf. Little ones are encouraged to bring their wish list and take free photos with the man in the red suit. While you’re there, enjoy fireworks, live music and kid’s activities. And throughout the holiday season, partake in the area’s only ice skating rink as well as the Wednesday night concert series. For a more detailed schedule of events, click here.
Don’t miss out on your chance to meet Santa, take in some of the area’s best shopping, and enjoy quality time together during the chaotic holiday season. It’s not just about asking the big guy for gifts- it’s about celebrating what Destin and the surrounding areas love about the holidays.
