Halloween is just a few days away, and the spirit of it is already in the air. Decorations have been up for weeks, and celebrations have begun our beach style Halloween on the Emerald Coast.
Whether you’re looking to scare up a good time out with friends, or collect candy with the little ones, there’s something for the entire family throughout South Walton and Destin this year. And with Halloween being on a Friday, there’s no excuse not to take a break, relax and enjoy the day!
Solaris Haunted Halloween Cruise
Once the little ones have put themselves into a candy coma, the adults can head out and have some fun aboard the Solaris for their annual Halloween event. The boat will be leaving at 10pm and returning at 1:30am, offering a limited menu and drink specials. Tickets are only $28 and there will be everything from a live band to a costume contest. You MUST be 21 years or older to attend. Tickets must also be purchased in advance through their website or by calling 850-650-2519.
Pumpkinpalooza at Harborwalk Village
The festivities have already begun at Harborwalk Village by offering events this past weekend, but the fun continues on Friday night with a fireworks display and trick or treating for the kids. Join the harbor community as they close out the annual Destin Fishing Rodeo and enjoy all things Halloween, be it dockside or at your favorite restaurant.
Gulfscarium’s Splash or Treat Spooktacular
For the perfect place to take the family, why not try the Gulfarium? On Halloween, they’re offering trick or treating around the park from 4pm-6pm all while the marine park stays open. It’s the perfect way to spend a night with your favorite sea creatures. Afterward, take a break and head over to The Crab Trap or Fudpucker’s on the island for a family meal.
Halloween at the BOOlevard of Fun
Town Center at Grande Boulevard is offering a FREE family event on Halloween night from 4pm-7pm. Offering trick or treating, fun activities, and a live storytelling performance, it’s THE place to be for kids this year. Also, families will be encouraged to visit the Cottage of Kids, a benefit for the Children’s Volunteer Health Network. For more information, please call 8508373099.
Trick or Treat Street
The Village of Baytowne Wharf will be offering its annual ‘Trick or Treat’ street for families from 6pm to 8pm on Halloween night. There will be a live DJ, a Fly board demonstration, and fireworks over the Bay at the end of the night. Afterward, check out Hartell’s for burgers, fries, and the best milkshakes in town!
Seaside Halloween
If you’re closer to the South Walton/30A area, Seaside’s Halloween celebration might be the perfect place for you. With trick-or-treating at the area shops, spooky stories, music provided by 30A radio, and a haunted hayride, it’s the perfect solution to staying beach side this Halloween. The event runs from 4pm to 6pm.
Trick or Treat at Gulfplace
And finally, if you can’t make it to Seaside, there’s always Halloween at Gulf Place. From 4-5:30pm, the merchants of Gulf Place will be handing out candy to the trick or treaters. Afterward, grab a slice of pizza or listen to the entertainment at the amphitheater.
If you’re not looking to go out this Halloween, there’s always the opportunity for a movie marathon at home, or a small get together with friends. For the kids, you can make Mummy Hotdogs while the adults enjoy their own Halloween spirits. Whatever it is that you do, be safe this Halloween- and enjoy the spirit of it along the Emerald Coast.
