Believe it or not, summer is at it’s end. Starbucks is already selling their famed Pumpkin Spice Lattes and Halloween decorations are available for purchase at most stores. The kids are back in school, and football is only days away.

And Labor Day is this weekend! Why not spend your Labor Day on the Emerald Coast.

If you’re planning on staying on the Emerald Coast over Labor Day, or you’re a local looking for fun activities for you and your family, check out some of these events happening around the area.

All weekend long, celebrate with HarborWalk Village as they round out their summer celebration with events that will ‘end summer with a bang’! Starting on Thursday, there will be a fireworks display and honoring of a local hero, as well as live entertainment and a WWII vintage flyover. If you’re still chained to your desk, check out free live concerts all weekend long on the main stage. And finally, on Sunday night, there will be another fireworks display and live entertainment- also FREE!

If you’re closer to 30A and the Beaches of South Walton, there are plenty of things to choose from. Whether it’s spending Sunday evening on the Western Green in Rosemary Beach for a free concert, or checking out the Labor Day celebration at the Seaside Ampitheater at noon on both Friday and Saturday, the area has you covered. There’s also a fun family event on Sunday at the Water Color Inn and Resort.

And finally, the Pepsi Gulf Coast Jam has returned to Panama City Beach for Labor Day Weekend. Featuring headliner Carrie Underwood, the concert is a sure thing for country fans. Tickets have been on sale since late last year, but lawn seats are still available.

Labor Day Weekend is meant to be a celebration of summer past. Join us as we kick off the fall season and dream about summer 2015. And if you’re still looking for the perfect vacation rental, Carter Beach Properties has you covered- we still have several homes available for the weekend.
