Art is an interpretive expression- one that leads many to question whether or not they appreciate it, despise it, or just respect it. There are different variations, types, artists, but at the end of the day art is meant to be thoughtful. It’s meant to instill thought into the minds of those who are looking at the work itself.
After reviewing more than 200 submissions from all over the world, Alys Beach has announced the finalists who will compete for $10,000 in cash prizes at the 7th annual 3-day Digital Graffiti Festival June 5-7 at Alys Beach.
Digital Graffiti is about engaging the audience. The event is the world’s first outdoor projection art festival. This innovative, one-of-a-kind dynamic event celebrates the many possibilities found at the intersection of art and architecture. During the three-night event this summer, dozens of digital art finalists from around the globe are invited to showcase their artwork with the possibility of winning a cash prize. Utilizing the latest technology, the artwork is projected throughout the town on its iconic white walls.
A panel of judges from both art and technology industries will select five award winners including Best of Show, Best in Florida, Curator’s Choice and three Honorable Mentions. The winners will be announced on the final day of the event.
